The McClain Lady Tigers won their second consecutive volleyball match this week, defeating South Central Ohio League and Highland County rival Hillsboro in four games Tuesday night at McClain High School.

Ten days since their last match at Wilmington, the Hillsboro Indians returned to the field with a hat-trick from Michael Theobold and a 5-2 win over the Madison-Plains Golden Eagles, Tuesday at MPHS.

It came down to the wire, but that didn't matter for the Fairfield Lady Lions as they won a five-game match Tuesday night against Southern Hills League rival Eastern Brown, defending their home court at Grandle Gymnasium inside of Fairfield High School.

Hillsboro High School volleyball teams will hold their annual "Volley for the Cure" game on Oct. 4. The Lady Indians will be taking on the Greenfield McClain Tigers. The varsity game will start at 6:15 p.m. Teams are asking the crowd to "paint" the stands pink and show their support in the fight against breast cancer and bring awareness to this worthy cause.
