    The Hillsboro Lady Indians gained their fifth win of the season Tuesday night. HHS held off a strong seventh inning surge by Fayetteville, forcing the Lady Rockets to delay their launch into the lead as HHS were winners 8-6 at Alice Cassner Field.

    Just a couple hours after defeating rival McClain in a suspended game, the Hillsboro Indians were back at it again in the friendly confines of Shaffer Park. As the game was deadlocked at four in the bottom of the fourth inning, Dow Kiefer blasted a three-run home run to put the Tribe up for good, defeating the Fayetteville Rockets 10-4 Tuesday.

    The Fairfield Lady Lions gained 11 hits, three for extra bases, for a 10-2 victory over the Fayetteville Lady Rockets Thursday at Fairfield High School.

    The McClain Tigers held on to the lead in the late innings Wednesday evening against the Clinton-Massie Falcons for a 12-9 South Central Ohio League win at Mitchell Park.

    The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs continued to score multiple runs in the early and late innings for a 12-0 shutout victory over the West Union Dragons Thursday at West Union High School.

    It was a three-peat night for the Whiteoak Wildcat baseball program Friday at Whiteoak High School. Not only did the Wildcats gain an 11-9 Southern Hills League win over rival Fairfield, but won no less than a share of the Division II SHL crown.

    After miscues in the field allowed the Fayetteville Rockets to take the lead in the top of the seventh inning, the Fairfield Lions scored one run to tie the game and won the game off a base hit by Bobby Wilson to gain a 12-11 Southern Hills League win Thursday.
  • Tigers sit in first place in the SCOL; defeat Panthers
    The McClain Tigers defeated the Miami Trace Panthers 11-6, Friday evening at Mitchell Park. The victory places the Tigers on top of the South Central Ohio League with a 7-3 record. The Panthers fall to 6-4 in the SCOL.
  • Wildcats win on road; set up SHL showdown
    The Whiteoak Wildcats played consistently by scoring runs in all but two innings for a 9-3 Southern Hills League win Thursday at PHS. The Wildcats have set up a Southern Hills League championship showdown with the Fairfield Lions Friday at Whiteoak High School.
