On Independence Day and the separation of church and state

To the editor:

This is in response to Congressman Mike Turner's recent column on Independence Day.

Yes, Mr. Turner, celebrating our Independence Day is all well and good. However, if only we could also celebrate the end of separation of church and state for good and let God rebuild our nation and return it to the dreams of our Founding Fathers.

Now, if only the American people would stand up and say that they do not agree with the separation of church and state and petition their congressmen to get rid of it.

Sincerely,
Lester Wallis
