For just the third time this season, the Fairfield Lions suffered a loss on the diamond, as they fell in a non-conference game to Greeneview by an 8-4 score at VA Memorial Stadium.

The Fairfield Lady Lions traveled to West Union High School to play the Lady Dragons in a Southern Hills Athletic Conference game played Friday afternoon, leaving with a 15-run win in five innings for the Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory.

The Fairfield Lions continued to add wins to their overall total on Friday night, winning in Southern Hills Athletic Conference action against the West Union Dragons by a 22-3 score at WUHS.

A six-run first inning set the scene on Wednesday evening for the Fairfield Lions against their Southern Hills Athletic Conference rival, the North Adams Green Devils. Those six runs were more than enough for FHS to give the Lions a 13-1 victory Wednesday on the road in Adams County.

The Fairfield Lady Lions traveled to Veterans Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe to face the South Webster Jeeps of the Southern Ohio Conference on Monday, and for the second consecutive game, Fairfield's offense failed to produce a timely hit when needed as the Lady Lions (4-3, 1-1 SHAC) fell to the South Webster Jeeps (5-1, 2-1 SOC I) by a score of 6-1.

Saturday saw the Fairfield Lions earn a non-conference win over Highland County counterpart the McClain Tigers by a 9-2 score, as the Lions collected nine hits in the win to help lead them to the non-conference victory.

On Saturday afternoon, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs defeated the defending Division I Southern Hills Athletic Conference champion Fairfield Lady Lions, 4-3 in nine innings, gaining the upset victory over their Highland County rival.

After three days off due to weather, the Fairfield Lady Lions hosted the McClain Lady Tigers Friday — under the lights — at the Fairfield Baseball/Softball Complex, winning the non-conference game by a 13-3 score.

On Friday night, the Fairfield Lions overcame a one-run deficit with four runs in the sixth inning to win over the “host” Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs, as LCHS was the home team at Fairfield, winning by a 4-1 score.

It was a beautiful day for softball as the Fairfield Lady Lions (3-1, 1-0 SHAC) traveled to Lees Creek to play the East Clinton Lady Astros (0-4, 0-1 SBAAC) of the Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference. The Fairfield Lady Lions’ offense exploded to score 13 runs on 13 hits to blank East Clinton, 13-0.
