Judge John Martin has ruled in favor of a motion by Union Stockyards' attorney Tom Tepe for pre-judgment and post-judgment interest in the ongoing litigation between the stockyards owners and the city of Hillsboro.

On Oct. 30, 2009, officers attempted to arrest a female on John Street. A male subject, Jeffery Willey of John Street, was arrested for obstructing official business. The female, Malinda Taylor of John Street, fell from a second story window and was taken to Highland District Hospital. She was cited for obstructing official business. She was also arrested for a warrant from Highland Co. Sheriff's Office.
