  • Postal Service announces new delivery schedule

    The United States Postal Service announced plans today to transition to a new delivery schedule during the week of Aug. 5, 2013 that includes package delivery Monday through Saturday, and mail delivery Monday through Friday, with no Saturday mail delivery.
  • Kasich seeks Medicaid expansion in Ohio budget
    Ohio Gov. John Kasich presented his two-year budget Monday, Feb. 4 with an announcement that he will expand Medicaid for hundreds of thousands more Ohioans. The Affordable Care and Patient Protection Act allows states to expand Medicaid – to provide coverage to adults living at up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level – and provides matching funds to do so.

    Even though Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring when he failed to see his shadow this morning, winter weather continues for the Ohio Valley. A snow advisory has been issued for much of southern Ohio Saturday, with two to four inches of accumulation possible.

  • Ethics violations filed against former Ohio mayor
    The Ohio Ethics Commission’s Executive Director Paul Nick and Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty have announced that two complaints against Gregory Costabile, 46, of Mayfield Heights, have been filed in the Franklin County Municipal Court alleging violations of the state’s ethics laws, both first-degree misdemeanors.

  • Wenstrup supports 'no budget, no pay'
    Today, the House passed the “No Budget, No Pay” Act that extends the debt ceiling for three months without new spending allowances, and requires the Senate to pass a budget while allowing time for them to do so. If either the House or Senate fail to pass a budget, their pay will be withheld. Simply put, no budget, no pay.
