    Having possibly their best hitting display of the season, the Fairfield Lady Lions are heating up at the plate as the regular season nears its final stages. In what was their fourth game in as many days, the Lady Lions ended the week with a a convincing 10-0 win Thursday night over the host Whiteoak Lady Wildcats.

  • Wildcats avenge early season loss, defeat Fairfield

    This time in their second meeting with the Fairfield Lions, it was the Whiteoak Wildcats who were able to have the big inning. In fact, the hosts had two innings where they scored three runs apiece, leading to a 7-2 victory Thursday night.

    The Fairfield Lady Lions (12-1, 9-0 SHAC) continued their dominance over Southern Hills Athletic Conference opponents with a 15-0 shutout victory of the West Union Lady Dragons (0-12, 0-9 SHAC) in a game played Wednesday at the Fairfield Baseball/Softball Complex. Kaiti White had a great day on the softball field, pitching a no-hitter while leading the Lady Lion offense with three hits, including two doubles and four RBIs. White struck out the first nine batters she faced.

    Though the visiting Fayetteville Lady Rockets took the early lead, it was the Fairfield Lady Lions who defended their home field, then sang “Happy Birthday” to head coach Mark Dettwiller Tuesday night after a 3-2 win.

  • Lions unable to fend off Rockets in late innings

    The Fairfield Lions were ahead by four runs after the first four innings in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference game against the visiting Fayetteville Rockets. Though the Lions had a solid lead, the Rockets broke out the bats to gain timely hits and runs in the final three innings to rally past the Lions, 7-4.

    The No. 8 Division III state-ranked Fairfield Lady Lions returned to Southern Hills Athletic Conference play Monday in a big way by defeating the Eastern Brown Lady Warriors by a score of 16-3.
