Highland County Community Action partners with Community Markets in Greenfield for shopping spree

The Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. is partnering with Community Markets in Greenfield for a 90-second shopping spree. The proceeds raised will go back to the organization to help support those being served in Highland County.
The spree will be held just in time for Christmas where one winning individual will have 90 seconds to run through the store and put two items of most products in his/her cart.
The last shopping spree winner received groceries retailing at $1,000. Example of some of the products purchased in the past have been hamburger, steak, turkey, ham, milk, ice cream, toilet paper, eggs, diapers and bulk products. Alcohol, Tobacco Products and Gift Cards are excluded.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Senior Nutrition Site located at 1230 Greenhills Drive in Greenfield or HCCAO main office at 1487 North High Street, Ste. 500 in Hillsboro. Tickets are $5 each or six for $25. Drawing will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to help support a local business and Organization.
“Our agency provides services in a wide variety of areas to help the residents of Highland County. Some programs are offered only specific times of the year and others come and go”, said Julia Wise, director of Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc.
“During these difficult economic times, many people may have to turn to our organization for assistance for the very first time. In 2015, we helped over 4,000 families in Highland County,” Wise said.
